GermProof® was conceived by a team of serial entrepreneurs.

With a burning desire to fulfill their extraordinary ideas, the creators of GermProof had been toying with an idea for a germ-proof product, which was chemical, alcohol, and additive-free. We wanted a product that was all-natural, safe for all to use, and that would provide ongoing GermProof® protection on hands, feet, inside ear canals, and nasal passages to protect from airborne germs. The team wanted a dual-purpose formula, one that could be used for daily germ protection, and that also helped protect wound and burns and speed up healing. The GermProof creators wanted a true GermProof® all-natural barrier for all.

In 2009, the name "GermProof®" suddenly came to a member of the GermProof team. After discussing it with other team members, they knew they had to purchase the domain name GermProof.com. When the group realized that someone else had already registered the domain, they believed so much in the idea that they sought them out and paid a large sum in exchange for the domain name. Then began the quest for the perfect GermProof® formula.

After finding a top-notch chemist who had already created a similar formula, the group was pleased to find out that it met most of the criteria he sought - all-natural and so effective. With a few tweaks, an even stronger formula was created with a higher percentage of chelated silver! The team did not want colloidal silver because it does not have the same powerful antimicrobial properties of chelated silver, nor does it have the right molecular makeup to bind to the skin.

GermProof's team put the idea on hold to manage his online companies and free up resources, but he never gave up hope on GermProof®. A good friend of the team encouraged the group to rekindle the passion for GermProof®, especially as it was the best name in the world for this idea. The science behind the product was unparalleled and with backing from a highly regarded chemist who had done all of the research!

Thankfully, the team rekindled their passion in 2020 after seeing the Covid-19 outbreak epidemic and is now bringing the dream to reality. Part of the reason for the timing was the daughter of one of the team members, a relentless gymnast and top aspiring junior Olympian. One of the founders had witnessed the effects of germ prone hand tears, blisters, and athlete foot infections, to mention a few, on gymnasts including his daughter. GermProof® is now protecting that group members daughter as well as other gymnasts from the effects of nasty germ infections from busy germ-infested environments while promoting quick healing to help kids get back to practice!
